Artists' Vinyl From The Cedar Lewisohn Collection
14.02.15 The history of vinyl records by artists goes back to the late 1960’s and earlier. I personally, have been collecting vinyl records by artists for around ten years. I’m not a very serious collector, I just pick up something if it looks interesting and fits my budget on that particular day. Also, to clarify, when I say “vinyl records by artists”, I don’t include records where a visual artist has only designed the cover art. Though this is an interesting area, for me, it is separate. I never play these records, due to their rarity. So this event will be the first time I'm hearing many of them.
